I had seen your television spots offering “gentle dentistry” and decided to try yet another dentist. I had had several disappointing experiences in the past. Just coincidentally, shortly after seeing you on television, I happened to be in the Lancaster area (which is more than an hour away from my home) and I saw your office with the sign out in front stating, “walk-ins welcome.” Well, I am glad that that is exactly what I did that day.
I immediately had a very pleasant and informative consultation with Leah and was even offered to start my treatment that very day. Regrettably, it was snowing and I had a long drive home, so I had to defer the appointment. Even though I scheduled the appointment, I was dreading the anticipated excruciatingly painful periodontal treatment. Since my childhood and all during my adult life I have frequented many dental practices and thought I was being conscientious and diligent about my dental care. Your staff far outshines any of the previous dentists and hygienists who have cared for my teeth.
From the moment I walked through the entrance and was greeted by your receptionist, through the entire process with Carrie, the examination and educational discussion with Maryann, the x-rays, and ultimately to your wonderful dental hygienist, Iolanda, everyone of your staff displayed the perfect combination of professionalism and a friendly, considerate and reassuring attitude. The entire experience at your practice was a very pleasant surprise and was very informative regarding what methods are available to me to maximize the outcome of the future care of my periodontal disease. I have religiously implemented the plan and products recommended by your hygienist. I actually look forward to my next appointment with Iolanda again in three months! It was discovered that I had a series of issues that needed to be taken care of, which required several visits over a four month span. I can say in those four months my attitude changed from feeling my teeth were in terrible condition to believing that they are in great shape and can last me for many years to come. Not only am I satisfied with the work that has been done, but I can say that upon every visit the staff were always pleasant, helpful, and left me leaving with a smile. I have to say I am more than satisfied with my experience at Gentle Dentistry and have already mentioned to several people that they should stop in if they feel their current experience in dental care is lacking in the quality they desire! Today I had a filling replaced on a molar. The work was done by my wife Dr Leslie Glassbrenner. Understand that I would have let any one of the associate doctors work on me without hesitation. All said, Leslie was the only one available at the time. Besides it’s been nearly 10 years since she personally worked on me! What I am writing is not influenced whatsoever by my wonderful marriage to Leslie more so my success story comes from that of a phobic patient.
Per the instructions of Leslie I was to be handled as every other patient not Dr Glassbrenners husband. Mary Ann seated me and took xrays while she comforted me and updated my records. Upon evaluation of her findings she explained in detail what she saw. Leslie then examined me and as Mary Ann so expertly suspected I needed an old filling replaced. Leslie took the time to explain exactly what was going to take place. I was a bit fearful but covered it up with a few corny jokes. Just as I thought I would get away with scheduling my work for another day (fear based procrastination) Patricia came along with a gentle comforting hand that pointed me to a chair.
Now in chair Leslie leaned me back explained again what she was going to do. In vulnerable position Leslie placed a numbing gel on my gums. Anxious of what was coming next Leslie began massaging my cheek. I thought this was to calm me down… Next thing I knew she sat me up and said “you will be numb in a few minutes, Ill be back..” I truly had no idea know she just gave me an Novocain injection!! I enjoyed some small talk with Patricia while I waited to get numb; she took my mind off of what I was there for with her humor. Leslie returned, hit a button to sit me back and began my needed work. Leslie talked occasionally throughout the procedure making me feel even more comfortable. Within a short time I was sitting upright while Leslie said how great I did. “That was it??” I asked. Patricia gave me exact post operative instructions and encouraged me to call if I had any troubles out of the ordinary.
Leslie – you are amazing. I know you better than anyone. I know how much you care for and love your patients, staff and profession. You are a beautiful person and it shows in every way. I know you and your staff ARE changing the way people are looking at the dentistry. Keep up the hard work and the world will be a better place!

"My name is Randy Benes and I currently in Tampa, FL. I came up to Buffalo to get married as most of my family lives here. I had a tooth pulled a couple years ago and have been unable to smile completely since I was unsure and intimidated and worried about smiling at the wedding. I even ordered a fake tooth kit online as a quick fix. It was not like I expected one and I worried if the tooth would fall out while eating, talking etc. At the last minute I called Gentle Dentistry to see if anything could be done. They were very friendly and got me into the office asap. I felt very comfortable and confident that something could be done. We decided a temporary tooth was the fastest way to fix the tooth. (unilateral) I was in on Wednesday and Gentle Dentistry was able to have my tooth expedited and ready by Friday - perfect timing as my wedding was on Saturday. I am amazed and very pleased that we could do this so fast!!! :) I was able to smile and even eat again!! :) This was DEFINITELY THE RIGHT CHOICE as it will also keep the space open until I can get an implant which takes months to fix. I am truly amazed on how FAST we were able to fix my tooth....I highly recommend Gentle Dentistry if you have similar issues with your teeth. When I came in initially, I hadn't seen a dentist in a few years due to poor experience and inadequate work done by my prior dentist. It was discovered that I had a serie of issues that needed to be taken care of, which required several visits over a 4 month span. I can say in those 4 months my attitude changed from feeling my teeth were in terrible condition to believing that they are great shape and can last me for many years to come. Not only am I satisfied with the work that has been done, but I can say that upon every visit, the staff were always pleasant, helpful, and left me leaving with a smile.
