Dentures
Dentures/Partials: These are used for patients who are missing many teeth. Dentures and partial dentures are made in 3-4 appointments. Our office uses primarily Valplast material which is very flexible and offers maximum comfort and strength to the patient.
These appliances are removable from the mouth and help the patient restore chewing function and restores their smile.Patients have the opportunity to choose the shade and shape of their teeth along with their doctor who will help them choose teeth that appear natural, match other teeth (if this applies), and help them chew.
The benefits for dentures and partials are huge, primarily the ability to properly chew and digest food. Dentures are not like natural teeth and do take some getting used to. When worn regularly they will improve your smile and bite tremendously.
The first appointment will be an impression of your mouth to send to our laboratory where a model will be made to assist in making your denture The next appointment will be 3 weeks later and you will be asked to bite into a wax tray which will let the lab know how your upper and lower teeth come together The next appointment will be 3 weeks later and you will see the permanent teeth which will be set in wax. You can approve or change the appearance of the teeth at this time. Then, three weeks later you will receive your denture.
